รายละเอียด : แสตมป์ ชุดวันชาติประจำปีนี้จัดสร้างขึ้นในรูปแบบแสตมป์บนแสตมป์ (Stamp on Stamp) จากภาพแสตมป์ที่ระลึกธงไตรรงค์ครบรอบ 50 ปี ชนิดราคา 2 บาท ที่ออกจำหน่ายเมื่อวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม 2510 และตรงกับวันแรกจำหน่ายในครั้งนี้เช่นกัน ซึ่งถือเป็นวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราชบรมนาถบพิตร อีกทั้งเป็นวันพ่อแห่งชาติ และวันชาติด้วยนอกจากนี้ยังตรงกับวาระครบรอบ 80 ปี ของการ จัดสร้างแสตมป์ชุดวันชาติครั้งแรกในประวัติศาสตร์เมื่อวันที่ 24 มิถุนายน 2482 ซึ่งเป็นภาพพระที่นั่งอนันตสมาคม โดยวันชาติสมัยนั้นกำหนดจากวันเปลี่ยนแปลงการปกครองจากสมบูรณาสิทธิราชย์มาเป็นระบอบประชาธิปไตยเมื่อปี 2475 การนำเสนอด้วยแสตมป์ดวงเก่าอันทรงคุณค่านอกจากถือเป็นวาระสำคัญข้างต้นแล้ว ยังมุ่งหมายให้คนรุ่นใหม่ได้สัมผัสถึงความสง่างามแห่งรงไตรรงค์อันสื่อความหมาย 3 สถาบันหลักของชาติ นำมาซึ่งความภาคภูมิใจร่วมกันของคนไทยทั้งมวล

Description  : This year's National Day Commemorative Stamp is designed by a Stamp on Stamp technique that features an image of the 50" Anniversary of Thai National Flag released on December 5, 1967 with domination of 2 Baht. 5" December is also the date of issue to the latest flag series, and marks the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, the National Day, and the National Father's Day.
The same occasion coincides with the 80* anniversary of the first National Day Commemorative Stamp in history released on June 24, 1939 where an image of the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall was displayed. The National Day was observed from a day when the absolute monarchy changed to constitutional monarchy in 1932.
The presentation of this past, yet precious stamp collection, is regarded as a main purpose as mentioned above. Moreover, it is also a chance for a new generation to witness the elegance of Thai tri-colored flag that represents three core country s institutions which is attributed to Thai people s sense of pride.
