รายละเอียด : ประภาคาร คือหอสูงที่ติดตั้งไฟสัญญาณสว่างมากไว้บนยอดเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวก และความปลอดภัยในการเดินเรือ มักสร้างที่ทางเข้าท่าเรือ อ่าว แม่น้ำสำคัญ หรือจุดอื่นที่เป็นอันตรายต่อการเดินเรือ นับเป็นครั้งแรกของตราไปรษณียากรไทยในชุดประภาคาร ประกอบด้วยภาพประภาคารทั้ง 4 แห่ง ที่กระจายอยู่ตามภูมิภาคต่างๆ ของประเทศไทย ได้แก่
ประภาคารบางประอิน จ.พระนครศรีอยุทยา รัชกาลที่ 5 ทรงให้สร้างขึ้นเมื่อปี 2420 ประภาคารเกาะสีชัง จ. ชลบุรี ซึ้งเป็นที่ตั้งของพระราชวังเพียงแห่งเดียวในไทย สรา้งขึ้นสมัย รัชกาลที่ 5 เช่นกัน ประภาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษา จ.ระนอง สร้างขึ้นเพื่อเทิดพระเกียรติ รัชกาลที่ 9 ในโอกาสที่ทรงเจริญพระชนมพรรษา 80 พรรษา

Description  : A lighthouse is a tall tower designed to emit light to serve as facility and a navigational aid. it marks safe entries to port, harbors, significant rivers and hazardous zones for sailing. This is first time to release Thai postage stamp in a Lighthouse theme including 4 regional lighthouse in the country.
Bang Pa-In lighthouse in Ayutthaya was built on the order of King Rama 5 and its construction was completed in 1877. Koh Sichang lighthouse inChonburi was built in the reign of King Rama 5, the only lighthouse that was assigned as a palace. His Majesty TheKing's 80th birthday anniversary lighthouse in Ranong was established in order to honor King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama 9) on the auspicious occasion of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of his Majesty's Accession to the Throne. This collection features a lighthouse towering at dusk. Not only displaying the unique architecture but the picture also shows detailed landscape upon where the top of the lighthouse brightly shines.
