รายละเอียด : มัลดีฟส์ เป็นประเทศหมู่เกาะปะการังในมหาสมุทรอินเดีย ตั้งอยู่ทางทิศตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ของประเทศอินเดียและศรีลังกา สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตในระดับเอกอัครราชทูตกับไทยเมื่อวันที่ 21 มิถุนายน 2522 ถึงวันนี้รวม 40 ปี โดยมีความสัมพันธ์อันดีต่อกันมาโดยตลอด ทั้งในระดับรัฐบาลและประชาชน เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรุ้ระหว่างกัน การไปรษณียืสองประเทศจึงตกลงจัดทำแสตมป์รวม 8 ดวง เป็นเรื่องของหมู่เกาพ ดอกไม้ ผลไม้ และอาชีพ ภาพของไทย 4 แบบ ได้แก่ หมู่เกาะอ่างทอง สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวสำคัญใน จ.สุราษฏร์ธานี ดอกราชพฤกษ์ ดอกไม้ประจำชาติ ทุเรียน ราชาแห่งผลไม้อันเลื่องชื่อ และ เรือประมงแทนอาชีพหลักของคนชาบทะเลไทย ส่วนหนึ่งมาจากภาพถ่ายของการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย ส่วนภาพของมัลดีฟล์อีก 4 แบบ ประกอบด้วย หมู่เกาะประเทศมัลดีฟส์ หนึ่งในจุดหมายยอดนิยมของนักท่องเที่ยว ดอกกุหลาบ ดอกไม้ประจำชาติ มะพร้าว ต้นไม้ประจำชาติ ซึ่งรูปต้นมะพร้าวจะปรากฏบนตราแผ่นดิ และ เรือประมง ซึ่งสำคัญต่อมัลดีฟส์ในฐานะแหล่งปลาทูน่าที่สำคัญในมหาสมุทรอินเดีย

Description  : Maldives is the islands located in the Indian ocen situated on the south-west of India and Sri Lanka. Their diplomatic relation with Thai ambassador was founded on June 21, 1979 which marks 40 years to present and our cordial relation has continued in both the government and people levels. In order to exchange and learn from each other's cultures' their national post services decide to release the joint stamp collection for this occasion to introduce  the joint stamp clecton from both countries to introduce four tourist attrations, form both countries that share some similarities. These eight stamp ilustrate stories some similarities. These eight stamp illustrate stories of the islands, Flowers,fruits and occupations. The four designs of Thai pictures areAngthong Island in Suratthani, Golden Shower or Thai national flowers,Durian as the renowned King of fruits and the Fishing Boat representing a main occupation of people living by the sea. Some of the pictures are photos courtesy of Tourism Authority of Thaland The four pictures of Maldives are consisted of the Maldives, one of the most famous tourist attractions, a Rose or their national flower,a Coconut Tree of their national plant which appears on their Coat of Arms and their Fishing Boat which is crucial to the Maldives for its important tuna source in the Indian Ocean.
