รายละเอียด : ทองแดง (บามสกุงสุวรรณชาต) สุนัขเทศบาล เทศเมีย เป็นสุนัขตัวที่ ๑๗ ของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเข้าอยู่หัว เกิดในซอยศูนย์แพทย์พัฒนา ถ.พระรามส เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ ๘ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๔๑ มีพี่น้องรวมกัน @ ตัว คือทองแดง ทองเหลือง(เพศผู้) ละมุน(เพศเมีย) คาลัว(เพศเมือ) หนุน (เพศเมีย) โกโร(เพศเมีย) โกโส(เพศเมีย)ทองแดงเป็นลูกของ"แดง"สุนัขจรจัดบริเวณ ถ.พระราม@ โดยมีนายแพทย์ท่านหนึ่งนำทองแดงมา ทูลเกล้าถวายให้พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวทอดพระเนตรเมื่อครั้งเสด็จพระราชดำเนินไปเปิด ศูนย์การแพทย์พระราม ซึ่งในขณะนั้นแดงมีสภาพโทรมมากไม่สามารถเลี้ยงลูกได้ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวจึงให้นำมาเลี้ยงในพระราชวัง โดยยกคุณทองแดงให้เป็นลูกเลี้ยงของมะลิ ซึ่งในขณะนั้นมะลิได้คลอดลูกออกมา ๔ ตัว ก่อนคุณทองแดงเข้ามาเพียง ๑ วันทองแดงมีลูกกับทองแท้สุนัขพันธุ์บาเซนจิของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เมื่อวันอังคารที่๒๖กันยายน๒๕๓ ที่โรงพยาบาลคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ โดยนายสัตวแพทยันพกฤษณ์ จันทิก เป็นผู้ทำคลอดรวมทั้งหมด๙ ตัว ได้แก่ ทองชมพูนุช (เพศเมีย) ทองเอก (เพศผู้) ทองม้วน (เพศผู้) ทองทัด (เพศผู้)ทองพลุ (เพศผู้) ทองหยิบ (เพศผู้) ทองหยอด (เพศเมีย) ทองอัฐ (เพศเมีย) ทองนพคุณ (เพศผู้)

Description  : Tongdaeng (family name: Suvarnnachad), a female municipal dog, is the 17th dog owned by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Tongdaeng was born on a sub-road, by a Medical Center, on Rama IX Road, on Saturday, November 7, 1998, as one of a litter of 7 puppies - Tongdaeng, Tonglueng (male), and Lamun, Kalua, Nun, Koro and Koso (female). "Daeng", Tongdaeng's mother, was a stray on Rama IX Road. A medical doctor presented Tongdaeng to His Majesty the King when the King presided over the Opening Ceremony of the Rama IX Medical Center. At that time, Daeng was ill and unable to care for her pups adequately. His Majesty took Tongdaeng to the Palace where adopted by "Mali", the King's dog, who, herself, had just had 9 puppies the day belore Tongdaeng was taken to the palace.On Tuesday, September 26, 2000, Veterinary Surgeon Noppakn CHperformed the delivery of a litter of 9 puppies at the Veterinary Faculty Clinic, Kam University, to Tongdaeng by Tongtae, a Basenji dog, also raised by His Majes puppies were Tongchompunut, Tongyod and Tong-att (female), and Tong-ake, To Tongtat, Tongphu, Tongyip and Tongnoppakun (male).
