รายละเอียด : ค่าสอนของพระพุทธเจ้า หรือเรียกว่า "พุทธวจน" ที่ปรากฏในพระไตรปิฎก เป็นสิ่งที่พุทธศาสนิกชนสามารถ ยึดเป็นหลักในการดำรงชีพได้เป็นอย่างดี เพราะเป็นสัจธรรมของชีวิตที่สามารถนำไปปฏิบัติได้จริง เป็นคำสอนที่ทันสมัยในการใช้เตือนสติให้ไตร่ตรอง ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องน่าเสียดายที่พุทธวจนกำลังถูกลืมเลื่อนไป ตราไปรษณียากรวันสำคัญทางพุทธศาสนา (วันวิสาขบูชา) ในปีนี้ จึงหันมานำเสนอ พุทธวจนประกอบภาพวาดพระพุทธรูป 4 ปางบนแสตมป์ 4 ดวง ได้แก่ พึงเอาชนะความโกรธ ด้วยความไม่โกรธ (อกโกเธน ชิเน โกธ์) พึงเอาชนะความร้าย ด้วยความดี (อสาธุ สาธุนา ชิเน) พึ่งเอาชนะคนตระหนี่ ด้วยการให้ (ชิเนกทริย์ ทาเนน) พึงเอาชนะคนพูดพล่อย ด้วยคำสัตย์ (สจเจนาลิกวาทินำ ซึ่งคัดเลือกมาจากหนังสือ "พุทธวจนในธรรมบท" โดย เสฐียรพงษ์ วรรณปก ราชบัณฑิตสาขาศาสนศาสตร์ หนึ่งในเอตทัคคะด้านพุทธศาสนาแห่งยุค

Description : "Buddha Wajana" or Sutra is the Buddha's teachings which are collected in a scripture called the Pali Canon or the Tripitaka. Those words are proved as the truth of life, which are never out of date and remind all the Buddhists of having mindfulness. Unfortunately, they are gradually fading and forgotten. To celebrate Vesak Day this year, Thailand Post would like to promote and publicize the Buddha's teachings through the four stamps illustrating about the Buddha's teachings together with Bhuddha images in four postures. The teachings on each stamp are quoted from the book titled "The Buddha's Words in Dhammapada" by Sathienphong Wannapok, a Royal Institute Council Member in Buddhism and also praised as one of the famed Buddhist Scholar of the Era.
